Breaking the routine at school!?
I'm about to start a long-term teaching job (my first) and it is, 5th and 7th grade room. Was thinking of doing a puzzle morning to get their minds working days before the start of the day and give them a small prize if you manage to write. However I I know that your teacher does not do on regular bases, but I want to do this my classroom until she returns. Is this a good idea for me to do and if so, what are some good riddles or sites I can go to have some that are age appropriate. Thanks
There is a book that is probably online now called "Minute Mysteries." The kids have to solve a mystery within a minute after reading a paragraph. I think that your children can get into it. But you all reason for doing the kind of its own. Do not worry about what the teacher did the same. Just say: Well, let's try this for a while and see what happens "and do what we seem right.
