what kind of puzzles are these?

I made in elementary school GATE program (Gifted and Talented Education). using images or shapes distorted certain words and / or letters that mean something more. What is the specific name for these mind games? Here are some examples of what I mean: CCCCCCC (seven seas) LU CKY (fluke) ABCDEFGHIJKMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ (no "L" – Noel) thank you very much!

It is not pictograms. Pictograms are images that represent the words. The specific name for this type of puzzles are "Rebus" and "Rebus Puzzle" I was in GATE in primary school as well. I loved the puzzles and stuff like cradle cat! rebus Google and find plenty of them.
