Speed of falling objects?

Well … I know that things fall to 32 m / sec / sec by. (32, 64, 96 … etc) I also know that there is something called "Terminal Velocity." But the shape of an object would change the way it pushes the air in front of him … so … here is the question real: if you dropped a bowling ball of a plane together with a large steel spear with a sharp tip … were to reach and hit the ground at different speeds? Other words there is a real speed limit that all objects can never go further? (Like 120 km / h) My friend thinks there and they tell me it is not. What is the true response. Please feel free to elaborate. (I like these physical brain teasers.) Thanks.

There's nothing like a universal speed limit established. The speed limit is calculated by requiring that the force of gravity on an object (eg g) equals the air resistance on it. Now that the second is usually taken as proportional to the square of the velocity and a coefficient that depends heavily on the shape, size and condition of the object's surface. In principle, one can always make this ratio smaller, thus increasing the speed limit. Moreover, since this speed is given by equal resistance and the GM, may also increase m greatest potential. So I really do not see how it could set a limit valid in all cases.
