Hanayama Puzzles For Ages 7+
Hanayama Toys and Puzzles For Children
Hanayama has been making toys and puzzles for 70 years. Many of their puzzles are made of various cast metals. They take manyforms of sea life, rings, and other forms joined together. The objective is to take the puzzle apart and put it back together again the same way.
To make it funfor the children as they learn there are different levels for the puzzles. Levels 1-5 are considered to be easy. Where level nine might be considered grueling.
As children accomplish the challenge of the puzzle they are ready to either do more in the same level or move up a level to the next range of puzzles. Each level has several choices of different puzzles to choose from.
Some examples of the puzzles are Level 4:
The Ring, is a set of 4 inter-locking rings said to have been made popular in 15th century Europe. Many used these as marriage rings. The idea for this puzzle is to be able to take it apart and of course reassemble in the same pattern.
The Devil’s Claw is two bent wires joined together and looks very simple. This puzzle was introduced in 1905.
Other intriguing names of other puzzles are the Vortex, Labyrinth, Coaster, Elk, Enigma, Trout, Seahorse, Starfish and Quartet are just a few and cover several of the levels.
The box each puzzle comes in has a diagram showing how to solve the puzzle. Trying to solve the puzzle without the directions might be a tiny bit difficult.
Look below for a video showing the solution of the Armor puzzle. It is pictured above.
