Unable to prove LRAND using Windows Memory Diagnostic in memory installed: Do you know what this means?
http://oca.microsoft.com/en/windiag.asp I replaced a single module with two 512 MB PC2700 1GB PC3200 (Patriot memory with excellent customer reviews) modules, downloaded Microsoft memory test and found to have broken one of 6 tests: LRAND, who writes all the random parts of memory. It seems that the computer works fine otherwise, playful, and recognizes the new 2GB memory. Expected versus actual values in the failed test were systematically LRAND out by the first digit of a number. What are your thoughts about this? Should I be happy with the performance I get in a photo editor after trying to break with 112MB of stitch? Or return of the modules? Newegg gave the PC3200 as corresponds to the PC2700 specification, but I can easilly get PC2700 memory. Is there another memory test which could recommend? Or is it a bug in Microsofts "no-go?".
might not actually embark handles memory PC400. better control of these specifications of the plate. I have seen memory that is not supposed to work, actually working in different towers and two different bus speeds work, are'nt supposed to work.
