The benefits associated with the game have been confirmed in multiple studies led by credentialed researchers from a variety of medical specialties. If you think I'm kidding, look below for a couple of examples:

A study led by Dr. Robert S. Wilson published in the February 13, 2002 of the Journal of the American Medical Association found that people most frequently engage in challenging activities of the brain were less likely to develop Alzheimer's disease.
