What fun activity can participate in while lounging in your pajamas that also relieves stress, reduces pain, loss of mental retardation and a surgeon can do better?
The answer is to play, and if you solved this riddle it is probably because they classify as an avid game player.
The benefits linked to game confirmed in multiple studies led by credentialed researchers from a variety of medical specialties. If you think I'm kidding, look below for a couple of examples:
A study led by Dr. Robert S. Wilson published in the February 13, 2002 of the Journal of the American Medical Association American found that people who engage more frequently in the brain challenging activities less likely to develop Alzheimer's disease. The study also playing and solving puzzles appear among the list of beneficial cognitive challenges.
A March 19, 2007 article on Forbes.com entitled "Benefits Health Gambling "includes the results of several studies that game playing to a variety of benefits, including pain management, fewer surgical errors, and the even stronger view. You can read the full article HERE .
All of these studies linking mental health services to the games, a win / win for you, because while participating in a fun activity that are also giving a boost to your brain. Best of all, if you prefer puzzles, board games, puzzles or Pac-Man, every single type of play is linked to the benefits of at least one brain.
